What is CBD?

CBD is short for cannabidiol and is one of the two main cannabinoids in the Cannabis Sativa plant.

Our CBD oil contains less than 0.2% THC, which means that there is no psychoactive effect and it is legal to produce and sell in the UK and Ireland.

How does CBD work?

CBD works by interacting with something called our Endocannabinoid System (ECS) . This is a complex system in the body that helps to regulate the body’s functions and maintain homeostasis.

Receptors exist within the ECS that are prepared for the ingestion of cannabinoids, thus reacting with CBD. These are called CB1 and CB2 receptors: The CB1 receptor especially is thought to be of central importance to the brain regions that control memory and movement. The CB2 receptor is thought to influence the immune system.

How much CBD Oil should I take?

For beginners, we advise taking 1-2 drops 3 times a day. You can try increasing the dosage every week until you reach a level where you are experiencing effective results. We do not recommend taking more than 15-20 drops per day for beginners.

Can you take too much CBD?

No, CBD cannot be overdosed as it does not become toxic at high quantities. Studies have also shown that up to 80mg / day is well tolerated.

Since there is no long-term study on the side effects, scientists cannot make any definitive statement here. What is certain, however, is that there is absolutely no toxic reaction when taking CBD oil.

What are the side effects of CBD oil?

When CBD oils are dosed responsibly, there should be no side effects. However, there are a few things to keep in mind when starting to use CBD oil, especially if you’re a beginner.

However, if you start too soon with a high dosage, you could potentially experience some rare side effects of CBD. These include symptoms such as dizziness, nausea or a dry mouth. Any side effects should, however, usually subside after some time.

We therefore advise starting low and increasing the dosage slowly over a period of weeks.

CBD Oil vs CBD Capsules - What is better?

CBD capsules offer a tasteless alternative to CBD oil and a more practical solution for ‘on the go’. It takes longer for the body to release the effects of the capsules, (up to 1 hour), but the effect lasts between 6-10 hours. CBD Capsules can provide a higher single dose than CBD oil, which can be more effective for certain conditions.

CBD oil retains a distinct natural hemp flavour and is taken sublingually (under the tongue). The CBD is therefore absorbed much faster by the body (only 15-20 minutes), but the effect lasts only 4-6 hours. CBD oil is taken per drop, so it is easier to regulate the dose as needed.

Is CBD Oil vegan?

Yes, all of our CBD Oils are 100% vegan. They are also Gluten and Soya free.

Our CBD capsules are however made using an animal-derived gelatine, so they are not suitable for Vegans or Vegetarians.

Can I combine or replace my medication/supplement with CBD?

We are not medically qualified to answer this question and must advise you to consult your doctor or pharmacist.

What is the best daily CBD dosage?

CBD oil dosage is not a one-size-fits-all solution, as it depends on a range of individual factors such as body weight, metabolism, and tolerance. To find the optimal CBD dosage, use our CBD oil dosage calculator.
